Who we are
Shield & Sword LLC (“we,” “us”) is an independent health insurance agency based in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy covers this website and how we handle information you share with us by phone, text, email, or video.
What we collect
- What you send through our quote form: your name, phone, email, ZIP code, household size, what you need help with, the best time to reach you, and any note you add.
- What you share when we help you enroll: with your permission, the details an application needs, such as the people in your household, an income estimate, and the doctors and prescriptions you want checked. We collect this by phone or video, or through carrier and Marketplace systems. Never through the website form.
- Basic technical data: our web host may log standard information like your browser type and the pages you visit. Videos embedded from YouTube may set cookies once you press play.
How we use it
- To contact you about the coverage you asked about
- To compare plans, check savings you may qualify for, and prepare quotes
- To submit an application, but only with your consent and after you review it
- To help with your policy after you enroll: claims, billing, life changes, and renewals
- To meet our legal duties as a licensed agent, including record-keeping rules for Marketplace agents
Calls and texts
If you check the consent box on our form, we may contact you by phone, text, or email about health insurance, including calls or texts sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or tell us on a call.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With insurance companies and the Health Insurance Marketplace, when you ask us to quote or enroll you
- With service providers that help us run the agency, such as website hosting, form processing, and phone systems, who may use it only to provide their service to us
- When the law requires it
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we follow the privacy and security standards that apply to agents who work with the Health Insurance Marketplace. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send health details or Social Security numbers through our website form or by email.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it to serve you and as long as insurance and Marketplace rules require us to keep records.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, subject to the records we’re legally required to keep. You can opt out of marketing calls, texts, or emails at any time.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children. We collect information about children only from a parent or guardian, and only to cover them on a family plan.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
